Mark Rodgers is a junior counsel with a broad civil practice.  His experience covers a wide range range of areas of law including banking, company, bankruptcy and personal insolvency, property, personal injuries and employment.  He appears regularly in the Circuit Court, High Court and Court of Appeal, and in the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Mark worked as a judicial researcher and a legal researcher with the Office of the Attorney General.  He has degrees in law from Trinity College, Dublin and the University of Cambridge.

Recent cases include:

McCarthy v Sheerin [2018] IEHC 179 (on behalf of an applicant in an application under section 85A(3) of the Bankruptcy Act 1988);

Re Griffin (a debtor) [2019] IEHC 751 (on behalf of a creditor in an appeal under section 115A of the Personal Insolvency Act 2012);

McAteer v Blake [2020] IEHC 604 (on behalf of the defendants in proceedings regarding a contract for the sale of land);

Fabri-Clad Engineering Ltd v Stuart [2020] IECA 247 (on behalf of the respondent to an application to set aside a judgment obtained on foot of a guarantee); and

Casey v Everyday Finance DAC [2021] IEHC 167 (on the behalf of the respondents to an application for an interlocutory injunction).
