Joan Gabrielle Lalor BL

Joan was called to the Bar in 2021 and is currently practising in the area of Tort, Personal Injury Law and General Practice.

Joan is a  registered Children’s and General Nurse and a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. Joan is also a Professor in Midwifery in Trinity College Dublin where she teaches and supervises across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and leads a team of researchers (including doctoral and post-doctoral candidates) to generate evidence to optimise outcomes in maternity care.

Joan was awarded a BNS (Hons), MSc, MA, PGDip in Clinical Health Science Education (Distinction) and PG Dip in Statistics (Distinction) and a PhD from Trinity College.

Joan was elected as  Fellow of Trinity College Dublin (FTCD) in April 2022.
