Formally owner and managing Director of large manufacturing Company based in Galway which work in the building industry. President of Irish Judo Association served two consecutive 4 year terms. Was a member of the Intentional Judo Body, judo for peace subcommittee. Judo and Rugby are my sporting passions having represent Ireland in both.

Was appointed to the Board of Caranua in 2018 by the Minister of Jobs and enterprise Richard Burton to deal with and distribute the €110 million fund paid in by the religious Orders to support survivors. Member of the board of Right of Place second chance a body which assists and supports survivors of institutional childhood abuse particularly those who where resident in the state industrial schools.

Have represented clients in major cases both in the High Court and the Commercial Division of that court. I have for many years worked successfully with private clients directly with their banks to deal with unsustainable debts. As part of that work I have built a reputation as an honest intermediator and as a consequence  successfully concluded sustainable debt restructuring or full and final settlements between the borrowers and their respective bank.

I have also been involved in many mediations in recent years where again successful agreements were reached saving time and money for all parties concerned. I also do Family law cases mainly on the western Circuit court, but have also appeared in other courts around the country. I have presented cases before the Court of Appeal and the supreme Court.

Presented a paper CPD for Galway Solicitors and Barrister on the up to date position then on the Law in Ireland for an application to the Court for Security of costs.

Presented a Paper for Right of Place Second Chance Trinity College Dublin  subject “After the Spotlight” September 2015

Drafted a Paper which was presented by Right of Place second chance on the Winding Down of Caranua. Caranua was the Statutory agency tasked with the distribution of the €110 million fund paid by Religious Orders to support survivors of abuse while resident in the industrial schools throughout Ireland.

A member of the ad hoc panel of junior barristers willing to assist lay litigant clients with appeals to the supreme court.

I have recently been added to the PIAB (Now renamed Injuries Resolutions Board) Mediation panel which has been set up under the 2022 Act.
