Royal Air Force (1959-64)- aircraft maintenance engineer – Aer Lingus (1965-1992) – Trinity College Dublin Research Fellow (1982-86) – Lecturer in Industrial Relations Human, Resource Management, Labour History and Comparative Industrial Relations University of Limerick (1993-2008) . Dublin City University part time Lecturer in Employment relations, HRM, Comparative Industrial Relations and Labour Law (2008 to present)
