The Bar of Ireland was delighted to welcome former US Ambassador to Ireland Kevin O’Malley to deliver the 2018 Daniel O’Connell Memorial lecture on Wednesday 28th November 2018. Distinguished guests including members of the Judiciary, barristers and solicitors gathered to hear Mr O’Malley deliver a most insightful speech on the rule of law in the United States. Following his talk, Chairman of the Council of The Bar of Ireland Micheál P O’Higgins SC presented Mr O’Malley with the Daniel O’Connell Memorial Medal.
